Did you know that BETWEEN can be read two ways? Yes, this tricky, chonky beast can be read as written or chronologically.
The events of BETWEEN take place in the eleven days before Halloween. In Part 1 of the book, we view those books from the POV of Sasha Pierce as she navigates Old Middleton and the Ordeal of accidentally becoming the True Queen of Between. In Part 2, we view those same eleven days from the POV of our exhausted Shadow King, Lorn.
But it is also possible to read the book chronologically, thereby experiencing the events of each day from both Sasha and Lorn's perspectives.
Which reading method should you choose?
If you enjoy cozy, slow-paced, character-driven stories, then read the book as written.
If you prefer faster-paced, plot-driven stories, then try the chronological read (Note: there are slight spoilers in the chronological reading, but it should not affect your enjoyment of the book).
